Did it take a long time for your husband to be able to handle so many strokes of the hairbrush? I can only stand a few light swats at a time with any wooden implement! Do you tend to reserve the hairbrush for when he deserves to be punished (as opposed to maintenance spankings)?
Yes it took some years to get to where we are now. Usually I tend to use the wooden implements when I really want him to learn a valuable lesson.
